It’s December 26th and I want to remind you of something… it’s okay that you’re probably feeling exhausted and stuffed going back to work today. It’s not okay to dwell on it and feel guilty for enjoying yourself and the indulgences of the holiday.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Living a truly healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean it’s all clean eating and no room for desserts or a drink. Practicing healthy habits is being disciplined when you need the energy and brain power from nutrients, and embracing the joys of indulging when it’s what your soul needs. To spend today feeling guilty over what’s in the past would be the saddest waste of time- especially when it’s a fresh and new day in tradition out of the Christmas season. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Moving your body will help. Refueling with energizing food will help, but you have no power or control over something in the past. It’s time to look forward into the stereotypical season of health (and the one ray live event!).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m all for this season of new year’s resolutions, and this year I’m going to show you my process of goal setting and achieving. But I can’t do that if we’re not on the same page- which is why I want you to have patience with yourself and recognize that holidays are designed for relaxation, and the following days and months are an opportunity to bounce back in a healthy way without losing your sanity.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today, in your #onerayjournal, let your intention be “To gracefully transition back into my healthy habits without guilt or shame during detours.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Indulging is neither good nor bad, and to develop a solid mindset, I challenge you to look at it as another season. Winter doesn’t get offended when you say you hate it, it passes anyways. Summer isn’t automatically better bc it’s your preference, it passes anyways. I challenge you to recognize those patterns in your emotional health, as well. 🖤 Just some thoughts 💭
